JOE THOMPSON-OUBARI

Joe Thompson-Oubari is a professional actor, singer, dancer and musical theatre teacher of mixed North African and Asian heritage. Joe was born and raised in London and trained in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. He graduated in 2019 with a Distinction.
Joe's performing career has spanned West End productions, regional theatre, concerts, studio cast albums, family theatre, research and development workshops and more. He recently played the role of Boq in the West End production of Wicked.
Alongside performing, Joe is a passionate musical theatre coach and has taught for some of the UK's leading youth theatre companies, drama schools, community groups, universities and local stage schools. Joe has also been a judge for the UK's biggest national musical theatre competition for young performers.
Life outside of theatre includes signing up to absurdly gruelling fitness challenges and commitment (or perhaps addiction) to independent café flat whites! Prior to theatre training, Joe completed a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Warwick University.
